Dear Member of the Public,
The Committees of Restoration is the bridge between the people and the government. The basis of our knowledge is we know we can not restore our government from the top down. We have the greatest influence at the local level. We believe we have to re-educate and re-form our government through a process that has been instituted in the past using the same committee structure at the founding of our nation.
We do not have a government operating inside the "compact or contract". Our servants are operating outside of the original de-jure contract instituted by "We The People". Therefore, "We The People" have to re-institute the original contract using the same processes that the founders left for us as a road map using these committee structures and intent.
We believe that re-instituting these committees are the only peaceful process and using the laws of this nation are the only lawful process left for us through oversight, accountability and consequences, and in order to restore our government as designed by our founders, it is our intent to re-establish these committees.
It can not happen in a day or a month or even a year. The tearing down of our Constitution has been over a 100 years in the making, if not closer to 200 hundred years. It will take work and we are not certain the people have an appetite for the work that needs to be done. Or, at least not yet. Perhaps when they have suffered at the hands of the elected in more demonstrable way, they will be more attuned.
Committees reappeared from time to time over our founding of our nation even after the Constitution was written and especially in response to crisis brought about by various issues. It is our belief that these Committees have value and the processes were re-instituted from time to time as needed and we believe there is need today.
The Committees were seen as an actual body politic of the common people which we believe can be re-instituted today to educate the people in the concepts of self-government and value in oversight, accountability and consequences, not only for the elected but for the people's understanding.
We also understand that we are in a similar situation in some regards as in the past at the foundation of our nation. We do not have a republic any longer. It's doesn't exist and that can be proven and demonstrated. We have a government that is lording its power over the people. And, the people believe that they must follow orders. "The People" do not understand their rights, or even that they are self-governed. Essentially they have waved their rights and do not understand how to exercise their rights.
We need to remind "The People" and the "Government Servant" and educate not only the people but the elected to their duty, obligation and responsibility. We do that through oversight and education. We provide solutions through accountability mechanisms and consequences via the laws of this nation.
The people are the authors of the government and the government is the servant of the people. This is the rightful relationship for a republic. We aim to educate and to remind both the servant and the master of government. "We The People" can only do that through wide spread education and involvement at the county level. We can not fix government from the top down.
The people are the owners of the contract and have the most influence at their local level government including, Boards of Supervisors, City Councils, and School Boards. The people have the right and the obligation and in fact, the duty for the oversight, the accountability, the consequences, and to bring compliance of the laws of this nation.
The founders were often heard saying, "The government should fear the people".
If the people only knew how much power they have, this mess would go away in a heart beat.
